Iceland, a Nordic island nation, is defined by its dramatic landscape with volcanoes, geysers, hot springs and lava fields. Iceland is volcanically and geologically active. Icelandic culture is founded upon the nation's Scandinavian heritage. Most Icelanders are descendants of Norse and Gaelic
settlers. This will be a look at the journey throughout the outerloop along Route 1 of the majestic island of Fire and Ice!
This trip began as a bucket-list item of one of our friends that quickley turned into a once in a lifetime journey for the group of us. It started with a couple from college, Kara and Grant, who wanted to visit Iceland and they wanted us to join along. So my girlfirend and I and our two closest friends start our journey to the Nordic Land!
This was an 8 day journey all along the island seeing all the major sights as well as a few hidden gems. Hundreds of waterfalls, a few lagoons, and possibly an aurora sighting, or two, later we completed the trip and it was all documented with beautiful pictures along the way. This blog will be a look into our journey day by day!!!
